4/10/2010 Today we joined Nicholas' Pack (Cub Scouts) to do the egg drop event. In a nut-shell, the scouts device a way to keep a raw egg from breaking while being dropped from a high distance. In our case, it was only 1 story. I've seen pictures and videos where they dropped the eggs from 6 stories. Nicholas' egg made it several rounds before it broke. I updated pictures for Feb-Apr. Enjoy! 2/7/2010 We just had our first Cub Scouts pine-wood derby race. It was a lot of fun to build until the end when I sprayed on some very old glossy sealer and it proceeded to melt the paint. So....it didn't end up as I would have liked it, but Nicholas' didn't seem to really care and just wanted to race it. We didn't place, but Nicholas sure had fun watching all the races. Even Rylan got in on the action when he was a school bus derby car. He just though that was the coolest thing. No surprise that a cub scout with a car mechanic father won the pack race, but it was fun and more importantly, Nicholas had a great time. 1/19/2010 I can't believe it's 2010 (twenty-ten). Time only seems to speed up as you get older...not sure why that is. The boys are growing up so fast. Nicholas is in the 1st grade and doing very well. Rylan is 2, loves "Wow Wow Wubsy" (cartoon), and surprising us with new words almost every day. I've posted a bunch of new pictures for December and January. "Please, to enjoy!" Side note: If you want to print any of the pictures posted on the site, just send me an email with the image names and I'll send you the full sized versions. The pictures on the website have been optimized for performance and will probably not print very well.
